I wouldn't bother - like anybody would give a shit who I am or where I'm from. If someone started 'announcing' himself to the world, I'd think to myself 'prick' and go back to my Playstation.
Announce yourself to the world? The world is full of crazy ass people, I wouldn't want them knowing where and when to find me.

ok so look at the first post of each of those threads. what do they all have in common?
answer: they are all asking stupid questions and NONE of them have been answered by the poster. yes you may have answered a day or so later, but why not in the first post? (not to mention the last one should be in music)
whats a smart question? heres one - why do you HAVE to make a thread? if you have nothing interesting to post or don't have anything you actually want to ask, don't come up with 1/2 arsed threads for no reason.

Personally I don't see what the problem is, sure some aren't great but at least he is contributing to the forum, what you doing? I don't see many threads from you. Sure the questions aren't all great but some of them are pretty good like that parent one, I think that was a good thread. One about the talisman is just as good too.
Now if you don't like the threads, don't answer, in fact, don't post because it's not doing any good. Also some people don't answer their own thread until some people answer first.
To answer your question, I would introduce myself it would be something like this:-
"Hey, my name is Catherine and I am happily married, 20 year old and I hope to become a web designer. I am about to start my degree and hope to do very well."

tbh i would insult anyone i could and say hi to everyone i know and like. I wouldn't try anything big or world changing because the world is msotly idiots and they wouldn't understand nor listen.
