    ****SPOILERSSSSSSSS****

I basically thought it was a very good film. However some of the plot dragged on at the start then they rushed the end.

If they spaced out the entire film it correctly it would be a VERY VERY good film.

It was an emotional roller coaster (Especially when his dog died... i cried! Lol i know sad but what can you do :) )

Will Smiths acting was impressive to the point of brilliance.

    Re: I Am Legend.

Well, I saw it too, and I dont know the story or whatever its from (Someone told me it was based on a comic book) so it wasn't at all what I was expecting.

Infact, the best part of it was they got a good actor to do the part, otherwise 28 days was a far better zombie movie.
It was something you should see, as it it was ok, but really to me not even a great movie, Could be that the whole thing was predictable.

    ******* massive spoilers....********

Well From the death of the family, (when I saw them testing people at the pier I thought it would be the daughter positive and not the mom, mm same difference really) to the death of the dog and with the religious references the whole time I knew from about half hour into it he was going to sacrifice himself at the end. ugh, I hate mindless predictablility. It wasn't even a shock when the lady showed up with the butterfly tattoo and saved him in his weakest moment, when else will something happen? plus they basically forshadowed that a bit too obvious too. The only thing that didn't make sence was the kid that didn't talk and his purpse and why was Will so obsessed with deer? was he hunting them or trying to test them?

So yeah, these kinds of movies are why I don't watch many movies, If I know whats going to happen midway into it, it kinda wrecks it for me. The reason I liked the 28 days movie better was because I wasn't sure exactly who was going to make it, and some of the ones I thought would didn't. (didnt see the 28 days later though)

When you have only one survivor its more obvious that he's going to save the world in the end, and most likely will sacrifice himself to do so. Its also likely that someone else is going to show up, because one actor the whole movie with no other converstaion.. mmm right.
The dog and his obvious strong attachment to her, meant she had to die to have some sort of plot. Otherwise it would have been him talking to manequins all the time. (and yeah even the multipurpose they served was obvious, as soon as they showed them outside, I wondered how long until they were going to get moved by the night creatures)

so um, yeah it was an ok movie, i just wish they wouldnt have been so obvious.
The effects of the virus infected people was pretty good, but the only "scary" part was suspense and cheap thrills.

So I'd give it a 5/10 but the acting was more like a 9/10.

I thought it was pretty good, though the camera moving up and down towards the beginning when he was running was a little annoying... also thought the movie would be a lil longer.

I really enjoyed it. As usual, Will Smith was great. The ending could have been better, but meh... I got my moneys worth!

    Re: I Am Legend.

Was pretty decent but I personally didn't like the ending. Plus it was a bit preachy for my liking, don't know why religion was needed to tell the story.

I think the head zombie guy could of been developed more. I presume the girl Robert stole was his daughter or wife? That kinda makes it a bit silly that she was the one to check out his blood first. You wouldn't send a female, especially someone close to you, to check a possible threat. Plus he looked like he was just behind her, do leaders normally follow their children?

Of course he might not of been the leader till he decided a vendetta against Robert, but still would zombies just decided to follow one another like that? I doubt it!

Then there is the mannequin! WTF was that? If they had the ability to move it around and wire up the trip line then why just run around trying to attack people. If they really did set him up then they can watch what he does and imitate it, and change it as well as he used a cloth to capture the girl while they had a foot trap.

I mean he himself could of set the trap up himself, which makes more sense to me. I mean he was going crazy and talking to them, is it such a leep to think that he thought the mannequin had been infected? It was standing outside a *nest*, that's another thing! Since when have zombies started making nests? Do they breed? The use of the word nest to me sounds like they were procreating. If it was just where they live then hovel would be a better word, but they used nest.

If they were breeding what right did the humans have to destroy their society? Sure he said they lost all human behaviour, but what makes us so good? They seem to value each other so they were willing to attack to try get back the girl. Like he said the guy exposed himself to sunlight which isn't normal zombie behaviour.

I'd love to see a zombie film where the zombies do take over and wipe out humanity, then evolve passed normal zombie behaviour in order to survive. Call it I am Zombie, one zombies struggle to survive in a world of other zombies trying to eat you and humans trying to shoot you. Would be epic!

Yeah, some parts were a bit unlogical indeed. Also, how does a modified measle virus suddenly mutate into a, pigment destroying, hairsack destroying, Adrenal gland corrupting, pupil diluting, muscular capacity enriching virus? It would be a better story if the virus was bio-engineered by terrorists or something.

    Re: I Am Legend.

Got to say, the ending was pretty bollocks. Nice concept, poor execution and pretty cliche and expected.

    #~~~ SPOILER ~~~#

The storyline was great but it got a bit samey at times. Kind of felt like they concentrated too much on the main character's sanity rather than the apocolyptic chaos that had happened in the city. I mean c'mon, yes we know the lack of social interaction causes problems, but do you really have to dedicate half the freaking film showing it =/

And yeah, the dog dying was probably the best part of the film.

Finally watched the movie. It was nice. The fact that I sat down with a couple of friends in the theater making insane fun of it totally screwed the serious fun outta the movie. LOL .. Nevertheless it was a nicely made one.

Seriously amazes me how many times would he have done the dog??
