    I need a TV

Long story short: I need a new TV :P. I've been doing a lot of looking, but hopefully you guys can help because most of you are probably more experienced with buying a new one than I am.

    I have four requirements:
    • It must be HD - up to 1080i preferred.
    • It must cost 500$ or less - 550$ tops.
    • It can't be too big as space in my entertainment setup is limited.
    • It must have some sort of glare protection as I am in a very high light environment.

    Here's my current prospect:
    http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=24

Whoever can help me find the perfect setup has a guaranteed fishy stick and access to the fishy stick cult. Thanks for any help I receive ;)

I like the looks of the TV you have your sights on, I'm currently checking Comet's website to see if they have any good deals on. They usually do good TVs at reasonable prices.

Edit: Found a nice 19'' HD Ready TV: http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...ION-TV19PL110D

i know it sounds dumb but have you looked at buying a computer monitor and using it as a tv. i plan on buying a 24'' full HD tv and then getting a tv tuner for my PC. it only really works if your pc is close to your tv though.

That could be considered spamming because it's no different than posting something like "hardy har nothng fr yoo." This was your post:

You did not elaborate or go into detail at all, so he was within his rights to delete it.

Very low feedback seller on the eBay auction, and Paypal is craptacular when it comes to resolving disputes. Also it says refurb not new (unless he edited his description recently)

    Re: I need a TV

If it's just a reconditioned/refurb'd TV, you'd be better off spending your money on something thats less hassle i.e. buying it from a local store.

    Re: I need a TV

You can do 2-in-1 with this monitor:
    http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/d...DdGx!958908674

It have HDMI port and VGA port so you can use it as a PC Monitor as well. You can have PC, TV and a Console connected at the same time. It's crystal clear so no reflections on the monitor.

This monitor is quite expensive on their website, but I can guarantee you there are cheaper ones on other websites.

I like that HP one. It's very nice, slimline, perfect for your limited space problem, if I had $500 I'd buy one.

    Re: I need a TV

go for a samsung there a good brand and will likely meet your glare protection criteria

Don't go for a tv that only does 1080i you may not realise this but i is actually absolute balls seriously it'll look worse than your standard tv does now

in your price range i'd choose a 720p tv around 24-26 range there have been plenty of options posted, so i'll not post another one.

If you need any further help pm me :D

Vizio = crap... Enough said there. Poor color contrast. Motion blur. Image branding.

You get what you pay for.

Well HD standards requires both 720p and 1080i. Also I can tell you don't know crap about TVs when you say 1080i is worse then standard TV. I never new that only 240 alternating vertical lines produces a better picture then 580 alternating vertical lines.

Anyways Kaoii. I would suggest getting a 23" Samsung, Sony, or LG in that price range. Though you can get 26"-32" TVs by the same brands if you get last years models. Which in all honesty looks just as good. Hard to tell the difference between 10000:1 contrast and 15000:1 contrast or higher.

    NoPeace - out
