the weed greenhouse flameing?
the weed greenhouse flameing?
I want to start Genbukan but I don't want to move to the east, and I'd most likely suck anyway.
My brother used to do Karate, he was pretty good at it. Got to a blue belt, I think.
Still, good luck with ripping your tendons and inflicting more pain on you. Exy's been doing it for ages, so you're gonna have to give it a few more years if you wanna catch up to his level ^_^
A few more years? I would say it's pretty much impossible. This is not to say that Exy is the best or to downplay Flameing, but the fact is that besides all his years of training, he is teaching it, which means that while most have to fit the training in their day, he simply just trains his body even further while doing his job. To spend as many hours training as he does would combined with your work, would pretty much fill up your day completely.
physical fitness is only part of the training, the rest is in the mind and in the technique. I've learned plenty of techniques over the years and my mind is still sharp so don't count me out quite just yet.
I may lose as I am now but you can never say what could happen in the future, if my training goes well then I hope to start fighting in amature tournaments at around octoberish if there's anything on.
My main plan is to power level my way through the first 4 belts so I can catch up to where I was previousley when I did kickboxing, after that I can calm down a bit and take my gradings slower.
Remember to use ginsengs, Exy has a bunch. ;)
Oh and if you want to beat Exy really well, then just use a Pararing. ;)
the only thing stopping anyone becoming the best they can be is themselves, you can become as strong as you want and only you have the power to achieve or to limit yourself
on that note who would like to see me hit flameing with a shoryuken on camera? :P
It is a very old boxing technique but if I can do it properly I may be able to combine it with my freestyle and use it to enhance my kicks, knees and elbows.
seeig as my build doesn't allow me to run rings around my opponent or get him from range I have to be as close as possible to inflict as much damage as possible.
the dempsey roll and generally slick head, neck and shoulder movements are what is key and if I can get it right then it would be a deadly combination.
Since its not certain whether your going too be at the Wedding tomorrow Gab, and since I dunno whether I'm going home tomorrow night (depends on my condition after the reception lol) I'll say my piece now instead although I wanted to speak to speak to you about this in person.
Anyways...I'm really happy about your newly found enthusiasm since you signed up with Lee's Dojo. But the only thing that concerns me about you is your Disapline and the way you conduct yourself outside Lee's Dojo. This meaning, training doesn't only happen while your with Lee in his Dojo, its also a way of life.
I don't mean you've got to do a Bruce Lee and dedicate your every waking moment to your Martial Arts, but its got to be a big part of your life from now on if you ever wish to succeed in these futuristic goals you've set yoursel. Which also means you've got to conduct your training, and you've got to do it alone.
At the same time instead of setting mile stone targets for yourself, set targets that are actually visable for you to reach each time. Me and Lee had a chat about all this I'm telling you earlier on this morning, and I'm only telling you this because I care man so theres no point in me lieing to you. Over all I believe that you as a person can do anything if you put your all in to it, but all that concerns me as I've already said is your Disapline, and how serious your genuinely taking this.
Anyways...will speak more about this sometime tomorrow night, big day tomorrow and everyone has fecked off to bed. I'm tired, so I'm gonna go to lol :P. Nighty night ^_^.
P.s Genryu, don't be sorry dude lol =p. I love the fact your as pationate as you are about such a Legendary sport / Martial Art. New found respect for you my man :P.
I may act like an immature bastard for most of my wakng life but you'd be surprised at how disciplined I am ;)
thanks for the advice though mate, you're not wrong at all and it is going to be hard but I think I'll be able to manage, like I said this is nothing new to me so experience and discipline I do already have, what I'm worried about is whether or not I can still pull it off.
My goal to fight the head instructor is only a marker and a symbol for me reaching black belt and tbh I don't know if I can get that far.
There's only one way to find out though and as with everything I'm passionate about I always put in 130%.
