If anything, even with the amount of mods we have these days, there still isn't enough control imo, but that's nobodys fault.

well, there are forums out there that use a "rant section" and manage to keep everything in there quite nicely. It also promotes controlled flaming by giving people a place to do it, it just depends on how you look at it really.
it can be good if used right but bad if the flaming gets outside of the section. can't know how well it will work until its tried. even retail games have rant sections on their forums sometimes. =p

I just can't see it working.
Person A hates Person B and vice versa.
Person A makes a thread of direct abuse towards Person B.
Person B sees this and feels very insulted.
Person B then sees Person A reply to a thread in a different section 1min later.
Person B pursues Person A in that different section and starts to fire random abuse while also wrecking that particular topic.
It just simply won't work. I mean even some Debates in the Debate section can get heated and that's just over a difference of opinion. So how does anybody expect to conceal a Street Fight in a single area.

If Russ needs another troop to enlist in his army which is fighting for the Sports section back, Im his man. Although I admit I didn't post much in it before (because I hung out in the MU section when it was removed), I have a shitload to put in it now.
For example, if I want to inform people of the fucking ridiculous win Chelsea had against Stoke City the other day, with them scoring their 2 goals (the first to equalize and the second to win) in stoppage time, and how Frank Lampard led his team alone when Terry was substituted early in the game, I would put it in the Sports Section.
