    Imagining the 10th Dimension

Imagining the Tenth Dimension - A Book by Rob Bryanton

If you get lost after the fifth dimension, hang on until around 9:25 into the animation where a quick recap gets given and it all makes sense (I promise 8-p). I'm guessing weed may be of assistance too.

/mindfuck (unless of course you're Robert of course 8-D).

    Welcome to the Tenth Dimension
(...) Most of us have gotten used to the idea of there being four dimensions: but how can we possibly imagine the tenth? This project starts from the unique argument that time really is the fourth spatial dimension. This "new way of thinking about time and space" is not the traditional position of mainstream science (which says that time is not a full dimension, but rather a quality that is overlaid on the other three dimensions of space to create "spacetime"). Still, many people feel this new idea has resonances with their own ways of understanding reality.
    Preamble

The "theory of reality" that I advance on this website and in the book "Imagining the Tenth Dimension" is not the one that is commonly accepted by today's physicists. Anyone wanting to know more about the currently established thinking behind string theory, physics, and cosmology should refer to such excellent books as "The Trouble with Physics" by Lee Smolin, "Parallel Worlds" by Michio Kaku, "The Fabric of the Cosmos" by Brian Greene, or "Warped Passages" by Lisa Randall.

I'm only at the 3rd dimension section and I'm intrigued.

I might actually buy the book, it's an intresting subject.

    nice find mate ^_^

    Re: Imagining the 10th Dimension

nice find man! i am at the 7th dimension and i still understand until now... for me the 6th dimension is like destiny... since we can always choose wut we want and it will influence our life... and the 7th dimension is the other us taht continued on the path if we wouldnt make a certain decision.

Man i wonder wuts ahead... ill post more of wut i think it is for me... tel us wut it is for u guys!

EDIT: omg the other 2 and 10th dimension are crazy! i saw a vid PBS that about the string theory and they evocated the 10th dimension as the bread theory ( not the real name ) but the concept is simple....

Imagine cutting some bread... one piece would be our world with all our 7 or more dimensions.. and cutting an other peice would be an other world with its own laws and physics taht dont even apply to our or dont reassemble to ours ... that makes the 10th dimensions.. i far as i understand.

Chek out the Parallel Universe to understand about my bread thing...

guys who wanna know more and look at the vid i saw chek out this : String Theory and more as far as anti-gravity and 11th dimension
    its very interresting.

    Re: Imagining the 10th Dimension

Within the 'M Theory' there is also an eleventh dimension.

These are where the superstrings come from and is, I think, a set of points for parallel universes and co-exist with ours. Yet, that just sounds like the tenth so I'm not sure >.>

So how many dimensions are there, infinity? because I haven't really looked into this.

well the vid and the explanations on the site i gave stop at the 11th dimension... but i dont think there can be an infinity of them... well maybe but it just doesnt makes since to me now.

    this is the tao :D

another book worth reading is "life on the cutting edge" by sal rachele, it talks about densities aswell as dimensions

Animations of higher-dimension entities are best viewed when high :icon6:

If you're intrested in string theory look up it's next form, the bubble theory. it's used to describe paralel universes and works slightly better than the string theory when doing so.

For those asking how many dimensions there are i believe i've heard somewhere that there are 42. may be wrong tho.

    Re: Imagining the 10th Dimension

I did a lot of study on relativity and etc when I was back in school and was pretty intrigued. Was so obsessed with all this that I actually ended up trying to come up with valid explanations to the proper ending for the paradox'z. Good one btw. I guess I'll order one too. Just to give it a read through.

With development and all on my head - I dont think I have much time to spare really.
