Missingno wasn't a pokemon, it was a bug. It had no classification, hence it's name. If you caught it, it destroyed your save game.

The coolest thing about it was getting passed the lvl100 cap, with the help of a gamereplay card you could get a lvl254/5 mewtwo, which was some SERIOUS ownage :P

Seriously I never lost a game with him, shame pokemon stadium stuck him back to lvl 100 lol. I could easily wipe the floor with any new pokemon created! One psychic was enough to kill most lvl100 enemies who I faced :D

it didnt if you caught a missingo and gave a rare candy or used it it changed to a normal pokemon

I caught it, it was a good laugh, turns all your pokemon images in the start menu to tiny spaceinvaders, has fly and hydro pump.

Plus ofc my fav was mewtwo tho :P.

I always encountered lvl 255 Charizards and Blastoises next to the ledge at cinnabar island. Then if you would feed them a lot of rare candies they would go back to lvl 1 but their stats kept increasing. Was great fun.
