It's only getting good ratings because of Leo, more than half of the critics I've seen claiming anything else in this movie is "good" are neglecting that there are dozens of classic movies that do it ten times better, and really they're just super ignorant.
Oh please this is probably one of JGL's best performance, and it was good. Most of the other actors as well (Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy) were also great. I'm pretty sure critics are beyond giving a movie good ratings because there's a star actor in the film. The reason it's getting good ratings is because it's a good film. But like always, you have to to stick to your guns, and disagree with the majority, no matter what the content.

Oh really? Read the reviews. They can't come up with a single compelling argument as to why it's worth a high B or an A, the only one they have that's even semi-accurate is always "Leo was amazing." It's quite disgusting really. But I suppose when millions of budget dollars go towards paying off critics to get good reviews, you tend to get a little of this and that. It's a poor movie at best.

Every review that I've read says the things that you disagree with, and by you believing them so strongly, there won't be convincing, so there's really no point.

Christopher Nolan again proves he is as skilled a writer as he is a director, with a mind-bending film that is
as challenging as it is rewarding.
With Inception, Nolan did exactly what he intended, received the exact performances from some of this generations best actors and actresses, and created a movie that will likely generate Oscar buzz. Not everyone will agree, and some people are likely to seriously hate parts of this movie, but those voices are likely to disappear beneath the avalanche of well deserved praise that Inception is likely to garner.
With Inception, writer/director Christopher Nolan not only cements his status as Hollywood's most innovative filmmaker, he has created a daring genre: the surrealist heist thriller. Or, maybe he has developed the dream invasion action epic.
I still haven't read one that mentions Leo being the sole success of the film...

A great 2 hour movie. Enjoyed it just as much as Shutter Island.

The ending was gay though... I won't spoil it for others who haven't seen it.

So you have one guy who's barking about Nolan's talent, he calls the movie "mind bending." It's about as mind bending as the very very weakest science fiction. Sure, Nolan is a great writer/director, but this movie is hardly anything mindblowing.

You have another who's praising the work of the actors; this is just PC, what he meant, primarily from the 'oscar buzz' comment was "Leo was amazing. Expect an oscar. Nolan was brilliant to use him."

Then you have one last critic that's proving to be a complete moron. It's hardly innovative, there are quite a few movies in regards to dreams that are far more innovative that have been made in the past. It's also not very daring. You know what IS daring? M. Night making 3-4 back-to-back horrible thrillers that in themselves are rather unique ideas. This dude taking elements out of at least 4 movies showing almost no originality makes it innovative? Yeah, and Microsoft is the most innovative company as far as operating system UIs go.

You shouldn't be putting the stock of your argument in 3 weak reviews from clearly numb-minded individuals. Their stupidity is only shadowed by their enormous ignorance of movies of any genre other than "AAA titles."

    Re: Inception (2010)

So you're getting mad at critics for praising a good director for making a majority-agreed good film, you're mad at a critic who's praising the work of actors who have obviously done a fair enough job (yeah, Leo's up for oscar, he's the lead role. Thanks for pointing out the obvious, you nimrod), you're getting mad because a film revolved around a very broad and general concept such as dreams? Okay yeah there are other movies that deal with dreams, but does any of those have the exact same plot as Inception? Tell me one original modern film that doesn't have a concept or plot that hasn't been used before.

You see, you're a fool, and you've made it clear. You're getting angry and disagreeing with very general things. You came in with the expectations that this movie was going to suck; therefore, you think it sucked. Now, we all know you're too big and badass to forget about your male pride for a few moments, and admit this was a good film. Critics are critics. These aren't random people. If this movie was bad, then there would be more reviews about it being bad than good... which there isn't. Get over yourself.

I've heard some really good things about it. I have not seen it yet, but I can't wait to hit it up sometime next week.
