Sleep deprivation would KILL his ass. Insomniacs die from sleep deprivation. Lack of REM's would not only give him eye problems, but could render mentally insane. Also, he would take some sort of sedative, or be knocked out somehow atleast within that time for sure.

That is very true, BUT we do know that if you go more then 4 days without any sleep your immune system because very weak, so weak that even a small flu virus that would normaly not effect anybody, could kill you...So for this guy to go 33 years…if somebody coughed in the same town as him he would die… Just like that movie, “Bubble Boy.” He would have to be in a bubble just to live.
