There is no phone that can compete with the iphone. Others are trying (hard), but they all fail also hard lol.

See I know a lot of people with an android.. and I just don't like it, I don't know why exactly. But it didn't "feel right" if that makes any sense.
Like you said in one of your posts a while back, AT&T sucks DICK at survice. Which is why I really didn't want to get an iphone at first. Back in my home time we don't have AT&T so I didn't even get to use the 3G network. But that doesn't mean the phone itself sucks. Just the provider.
But if the android gets aps that can turn your car on, or shut the lights off in your house when you're in a different city, then I'll think about getting one. :P
That's one of the main arguments people say about the iphone, "i dont need the aps" but if you think about it, that's exactly what people said about the internet way back when. Now look at it, 80% of all households in America have one. (not sure of the global figure)
Anywho, Time to turn my drunken fanboy rant off. ha :P
Meh, I've seen and used the android, and it just didn't fit the bucket. I love the touch screen keypad, it's a lot easier to use then those tiny buttons.
gmote can control my screen of the PC, so I can use it instead of a mouse/keyboard through wifi. Can also stream music from PC, and soon videos I believe. I have also seen beta apps which let you see your PC screen and let you control it from the phone.

Car-phone apps are already out. I wouldn't be surprised if you could make an app which can contact the key ignition if it is connected to the internal computer. Plus with an android you wouldn't have to convince apple to allow you to actually use the app!
Lights off and on in you house wouldn't be hard at all imo. Just put the lights on your wifi/network and then make an app to contact the IPs you have given the lights. Simple!
Oh and the iphone I used was in England, so was on O2. I agree it was the carrier that caused the problem, but then what's a phone without a carrier?
The new iPhone prototype looks like shit. It really doesn't have the apple look. But droid running on the iphone looks pretty cool.
Have any of you guys jailbroken your iphone?
I'm trying to decide whether to jailbreak mine or not
I still haven't seen anything that has convinced me.
People (like my dad) can afford to buy all the apps they want for it so he doesn't need to JB it.
