Has the "Quality" of the forums content just taken a heavy shot to the ribs recently ? I guess this is just a rant then anything else, but I truly believe over the course of the last month or so... So much bollocks has been posted it's been preventing me posting more and more.

And in my eyes, it isn't just the forums quality content thats effected but because of this I think its damaging the forum in general. Making it "laughable' (not in a good way) so to speak.

It's just before..not even that long ago :/. There was more of a meaningful atmosphere amongst us in the more quality threads. As when you posted, you felt as though you was being informative, making a difference so to speak. (well thats what I'd like to think)

Anyways I've no idea what the rest of you think, as I said its just a rant. Proberly just babbling :/ lol.

Trust me mate, I'm not blaming anybody and I won't start to either unless its blindly obvious who the idiots are. I'm not a kill joy or anything, far from it I'm a fun loving person that laughs at almost everything :P lol.

But you've got threads that truly are funny, and threads that just make you bow your head and shake it in shame because its a utter waste of time. And you've also wasted 10mins of your life reading it, which as of late its what things are like (from my perspective). Which again..brings in the quality factor.

Rules, rules and more rules. People are too scared to make a thread or have a laugh in the case they get infracted.

For example Gilly made a thread a long time ago called "CUNT!", try to make a thread like that in the Outerworld now and it'll be gone within minutes.

This is why i argued over half a year ago that Spamzilla should be redone, basicly make it a chat forum, you still wouldn't gain post, the quality of the posts ain't a big deal either, but real spam wouldn't be allowed, no counting crap, random words or anything like that. That way you would get more useful topics without them being filled up with random spam.

This I can agree on, perhaps the standards that are set for the outtaworld are abit to high which makes people hesitant about what to actually post here. Spamzilla though, as Gohan said that section just needs to be reworked because its just all over the place.

People do need to vent etc, and spamzilla is great for that but what you would consider a good thread in there, or thats been moved there just gets ripped to pieces because of the current rules of that section.

It's just proof that before people could get away with a silly topic like that and it would actually be decent, the Devin thread, it's legendary status but something similar to that would never happen now because before it even gets the chance to blossom it would be considered spam or deleted/locked due to the absolutely ridiculous amount of useless 'unspoken' rules.

This forum is getting more and more strict and the more rules are placed, the less freedom people will have and then the outerworld will become even more useless than it already is, Spamzilla will be the only place that people can semi-talk their mind until the rules move onto that section etc... Some moderators seriously need to lighten the fuck up, Exclamatio is one of the most light-hearted and cheerful Mods I've seen and I really wish the others would take a few pointers from him since a lot of the newer ones are hard asses who think this is a 1940's boot camp.

Sure it's good to be strict at times but there's no need to be stuck in power-trip mode for the entire time, Negata for example was a good example of this, he could be strict and knew the rules but he also had one wicked sense of humour and in my opinion was a good role model.

I would say more but I really don't feel like being infracted for speaking my mind. Also this isn't an insult towards you JC and it's not meant to be sarcastic/insulting in any way, I'm just saying what needs to be said.

So many different Smods who apply different rules and instruct them on new mods, that it's hard to get a good balance.
