    It's all lies!

Dunno how it is in the rest of the world, but in the UK, to sell the idea that going to Uni is such a great idea, the goverment, teachers and universities themselves keep telling us that when we graduate we'll ALL get great jobs with 5 figure salaries etc.

    Well it's all lies! (almost):

But (of course) Uni's about a lot mor than just the pay packet for yer job.

For some places you need grades to get experience.

dont know about in UK, but here in the US about 15% of uni grads actually go and do "higher thinking" jobs (for example scientist, doctor, etc) while the 85% get jobs in "human services"

well since i'm in the university for about 10 years ;) i got drunk and in debt ;) but i also worked for 5 years while "studying"

it depends on the type of job and the wages , if you have the uni diploma you tend to earn more , but from my experience ( i got the job cos i had more experience ( lying helped ;) ) and i got the job while the 10 persons who were there with the uni diploma got home without the job
