    Learning a language

I'm pretty board, and I wanna broaden my "speaking horizons." I wanna learn a second language.. well, I know quite a bit of alot of languages actually (and I find 90% of them easy, so difficulty is not an issue for me).

I'd like it to be a language I can practice (I live in NYC, so I hear different languages daily lol) while I'm here or online even (which is basically anything)

Anyway I'm considering Russian, Hebrew, or Dutch. (Im not Jewish BTW, I just think it's interesting ;P)

    Anyway, suggestions/help out/thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Re: Learning a language

I took Mandarin, a basic course [that I hardly remember any of], and it was a great and fun language to learn.
If you don't mind straying from your initial thoughts, I highly recommend it. Also, if you're going to get a teacher, find one you're comfortable. Mine was great and it made all the difference in learning it, as it does take patience and skill!

Learning Spanish will help you out a bit in jobs and life, but if you want to learn a language for the fun of it and your own personal wealth, I'd go with maybe Russian, French, or Dutch.

    Re: Learning a language

I would learn German. I'm actually planning to learn that next year.

    Edit:
German helps way more when it comes to jobs than spanish does.
