how can it ruin your relationship?
it shows shows your current relationship with ragezone, the relationship is still the same as before..
its like me chirpin someone on msn like swearing at them and telling them i hate them, then the next day going up to them and being like "k man everythings alright, i had msn uninstalled"

Yes please, But maybe a Rule that, Instead of Spamming threads with "Thank you's" in posts, say if you want to say Thanks, Use the Thanks Function, And only post if you have a question etc about it?

The thanks system is kind of useless. But yes, very endearing it is. Thanks system could only be used in a good way. Which is very good, because about 1/2 of the users on RageZone want to give negative feedback.

Why would other sections not need it? There are plenty of things that people post that really contributes to this forum, so i see no reason why they shouldn't get thanks.

Many of you will have seen it on other forums. It's basically a system where you can give your thanks to a post. It's much harder to abuse, first of all it will be visible and second there can only be thanks, so no negatives.

Imo a system like this can still be beneficial to promote quality posts and give credit to posters who make good ones.

Yeah it would differently help, gets annoying when you see people who just "6/10" and that's it sort of thing for a rating.

Actually, it would improve the overall quality of the posts.

Whats better, a forum with 800k posts full of questions and answers, or a forum consisting of 2 million posts with 50% of the posts just being "thanks!" posts.

Thumbs up for the thanks system. It's been requested in the past but has yet to be added, or even tried.
