an IRC channel would just be a waste, whats the point. No one will go on it and it will eventually cause more problems than it`s worth.

There used to be an irc channel but theres more noobs on this forum than real people so it turned out to be hell, i'm suprised there was a irc channel yesterday.
we are all busy with other stuff and dont have the time to go on IRC for 4 hours

The fundamental problem with an irc channel is that people only join it when they need immediate help and leave once they've had it. Also, a channel doesn't store user statistics, say like if there had been 100 users join/part the channel within an hour, a newbie entering only sees those 3 who are online currently, and decides no one ever comes.

You guys could make strick consequences if you ask help on the ragezone channel and not on the murzhelp channel or something.
Maybe then we should make an unofficial RZ Channel? And see how it goes?

Really, the problem is more with the number of users than stupid behavior.
Some Channels have 300+ users on their channel.

Well those must be channels where hanging around actually has a purpose. As RaGEZONE is a forum, taking the discussion into IRC is of little use to most users. Don't take me wrong though, I'm strongly in favor of IRC and would still idle a ragezone channel if there was one, but the past has well proved a ragezone IRC channel/server worthless.
Ubuntu linux has over 1000 users in their irc channel. They offered alot of help.
RaGEZONE will always be a forum. :D
Without doubt such a linux community has higher need for more interactive discussion.
99% of the time what I post here doesn't require instant replies.
i still think we should delete ragezone and make one big shoutbox :tp:
I tried to talk to elmarshal in irc when the forum was being upgraded; damn hard to follow the conversation when you have "FUK YOU KAOII" and "FUCK YOU RAGEZONE" every two lines. I say don't put one up.
I was saying that ragezone is better as a forum :P.
