Lots of rumours, pictures and videos flying all over the internet that the rebels had a Soviet-built 9K37 Buk missile system which shot down the Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur flight. A terrible tragedy that should have never happened, shit's getting real out of hand in Ukraine and god knows if there'll be some sort of international intervention in the Ukraine because of this.

Taking innocent peoples lives because of war is such a horrific thing to happen, why do they have to bring others into their stupid conflict and let their families suffer because of it.

Is by shooting down a passenger airplane is how they wanted to show that they have sophisticated weaponry on their side? 290+ innocent lives gone. I cant imagine the panics inside the airplane during the tragedy.

Probably. but shooting down an airplane 10km above sea-level isn't the same thing as a simple miss-fire, even locating, target-locking, to make sure the missiles reach that height requires sophisticated technology, which means if they would examine the plane with their technology surely they could differentiate it being a passenger plane. heck I believe to even shot it down would require permissions from the higher-ups. They might not actually meant that, but still...
