Can somebody help me with this question:
y = -x(2) - 5
y = x - 5
I need to find the parabolas
http://www.coolmath.com/graphit/
by y = -x(2) - 5 I assume you mean -x^2 - 5?
and y = x - 5 isn't a parabola, it's a straight line.
also shouldn't you be working these out yourself?
Asking the forums is pretty much weird.
Review your lessons or have someone teach you.
i think can use simultaneous equations... sub y = x - 5,
so x - 5 = -x^2 - 5
then shift it over
x^2 - x = 0
then solve it
x = 0 or x = -1
i think i am right :)
I hate math so much now, when we did stuff like this I loved it, but now urgh... makes me want to pull my hair out.
You should see the other questions that get asked around here.
Glad I got out of school last week.
No more Algebra. D;
Yeah I suck at math.
