If you know you're using pirated software like Windows XP, why would you leave auto-update on, or why would you even try to update...

From what I understand as long as you don't download the genuine thingy you should be fine. There are ways to confirm your XP copy without having to check it officially.
This is real and my Uncle was attacked by it because his is pirated. His Windows XP is in all chinese
And there are even cracks for taht, the genuine thing, one of my PC's had it. So i see no problem in having a pirated version.

My schools computers have a pirated version of XP
Really unlucky for them. I understand Microsoft doesn't want people stealing their work, but what If those people had really important stuff on their computers.
I guess that would be their own fault, but still.
But most pc's have a Geniune Vista / XP and you see on the site if it is genuine and it says its not...even if its brand new lol
I have Linux / Vista.. and our pirated XP @ School ain't all chinese? :S
Its not chinese though. It said that exept for the black screen.
