Skype aint that bad. I always had difficulties adding contacts on MSN but it was less buggy on Skype.
Skype's file transfer is horrible though, we dont get to preview pictures sent but have to download it and view it manually instead.

WTF? I don't even use motherfucking Skype,I use WLM as my only IM >.<
I haven't used WLM in nrly 4 years as everyone I really spoke if disappeared or was just too busy. Eventually I stopped using it and having recently logged in for old time sakes only 1 person was online and I didn't even know them. XD
Anyways Skype isn't that bad, I use it a lot to keep in touch with family and close friends. I use it only on my phone though so easy to keep in contact with. Anybody who knows me is welcome to have it, just PM. ^^
So when are they actually ditching it? Idm tbh, I prefer Skype. Easier to use for things such as groups, calls etc.

I like Google Talk as a plain IM program. MSN I only keep because of Ragezone, and at that I am usually online invisible if the damn program works at all. I don't want to be forced into a video chat program with crappy IM capabilities. I guess we'll see what happens.
I wonder why several of you have mentioned that you don't like Skype because you don't like the (video-)calling, however this has been an option in WLM for a very long time. While I definitely think Skype needs to be improved in the chat department, being against it because of the (video-)calling makes no sense.
Google Talk is decent, the major problem is that Google are being arrogant asses in the dumb way (MS is being arrogant here but it will probably work out for the better for them), because Google refuses to create a decent app for iOS, Windows Phone etc, they have no chance to become big on smartphones, MS is now finally doing this (they should have done that ages ago) by making Skype big, this will make it that it can become the biggest messaging and (video-)calling service on PC's and mobile devices.
