im being overflowed with hosting offers, most ppl dont know that the server is to large for webhosting and need a super fast serv with 4gig ram at least.. and $150 is the cheapest ur gonn get for 1.
Well if were going to lose the site i suggest that you give all of the files and databases to someone. I have a .com website with nothing on it but not like your going to do that. But i do suggest you give all of the databases and information/files to someone so they can start ragezone again.
Kill out some sections, We really don't need most of them.
MentaL is the only person fitting for the host of Ragezone, No one else.
Maybe RZ could offer some paid services ( not with the name of RZ ) on the ded.Server. and put the profit of that into RZ to keep it up.
Just a thought ;)
P.S mental is not planned to give out the DB

Oh please, learn to optimize your "server". Your forums are tiny compared to what Deltaanime hosts, Mental.
Deltaanime has a cluster of two servers doing just our main hosting, and one doing our free file hosting service, dafiles. Each box is just a p4 3Ghz w/ 2GB of ram. Yet, on one of htem alone, over all of the sites we host, we have upwards of 700 users online at a single time on all the forums on a single server.
Wddg-online? Hosted via deltaanime. Eathena? Deltaanime. aerogaming? Deltaanime. ProjectRO? Deltaanime. I could continue going on and on with forums that we host, and do it very nicely at that. Our mysql is pushing around 200 - 300 queries a second.
Our web cluster is a beast to say the least, Mental. We have 40Mbit of transit just on the webs, not counting the extra 20 - 40Mbit we have for dafiles.

no public free hosting service will host a forum of this size. most free hosts only give you a couple GB of BW, i figure RZ burns ~200 - 300GB

I've donated before and ill donate again. I wouldent worry dan... this thread is already turning up allot more interest and offers than any of the previous ones.
Also if you wana know another site thats being hosted on the RZ server... simply look at my sig. It's sponsored by RZ and is being ran by RZ. It's small at the moment but will grow in size as soon as i zip off to uni (got a fair few plans for it). As for server load... well i know my site uses a very very small amount..... Seriously i only transfer get about 2gig of bandwidth used a month (havent checked recently) and thats only coz of the high rez pictures n stuff.
And can people PLEASE stop saying 'bye bye RZ'. I've seen people talking about this before... its not gona happen! not for a long time! RZ is home to some of the best people i know and ive met so many friends here its unreal! I personally would never let this place disapear and its nice to know others feel the same way.
