on a sidenote msn fails in meeting new ppl / is pro if you allready know them irl and can try to make them like you a bit more.

using an instant messenger to get to know each other as friends can be good. I was talking to one chick over yahoo for two months, we ended up going out for a good 7 months then got tired of each other.
dont use a messenger to start a relationship though. thats weak.
A friend of mine has been talking to a girl he meets on msn 3 years ago and he show me the sms she sends to him saying that she loves him and that she wants to meet him and bla bla , may be its a special case but lol she is hot so if you know how to use it can be really good =P (just to me dosnt work -.-)
i think msn is good ,because alot of ppl have it
mostly gamers and stuff so if you go on a new forums or just talk to ppl from games they most likely have MSN
in meeting girls wise ya it happens a lot on msn o.0 for some reason ,relationship wise its HARD no matter what messenger you have lol but i like msn i dont find it bad i like it more then yahoo and aim

It is neither good nor bad the way i use it at least.
I only use it for business , contact guys and get cell phones so meet them later to deal or to give project to my professors etc.Very very rare to chat. That makes MSN just useful.
It's a gadget, a tool. But not a bloody friend or an enemy. Go out once in a while.
