Wouldn't your electricity get shut of if you don't pay the bills?

wow incredible story :( poor guy
"Neighbors said Riccardi had diabetes and had become blind in his 50s" was gna say wonder wat he was watchin lol...
Not necessarily. Some states (and even cities) have laws that ensure people keep their electricity, especially in areas where it gets very cold or very hot (or both). There are ways around paying, but "they" get you in the end....
or the electric company didn't care/notice. Who knows? Maybe he paid for a year. Maybe he stoles it. Maybe I stoles it.
Anyway, strange story, but not unbelievable, people die in some crazy ways.
OK THATS freaky!
Not sure about the situation in the US, but in the Netherlands is quite common to have your electricity company automatically collect the money you owe them from your bank account, and for social security deposits to automatically be transfered to your bank account.
Basicly, that means that unless someone finds you you can be dead for a decade with the lights still on.
wow thats fuked up there, here in us where i live u get easily shutdown if u dont pay
this was on the news yesterday. its pretty crazy, tons of stuff had to come together for him not to be discovered. For one he did have a family but he didn't want to live with them so he was cut off. Most of his bills were not payed but the electricity was most liekly payed automatically from his bank, and the neighbors thought he simply moved away to a nursing home or someplace better suited for him.
