Pretty much the exact same thing happened to me, exept my sister did (that was lame), I was 14 and it just crushed the bone, my thumb was caught in the hinges and my nail came straight off. It took months to heal and my nail still looks pretty fucked (not noticebly just looks weird).
Hell when we did woodwork our teacher wouldn't even trust anyone with those kind of saws.

Btw is that a bandage or is his skin fucked up that bad. Looks painful either way!

I remember I once had a nail go through my foot when I was six, had it bandaged and it healed in 6 weeks. And not more then 3 months ago, i broke the whole of my toenail off on a piece of wood while playing barefoot american football in my backyard, nail still hasn't healed back yet, pics to follow.

I think it's called CDT everywhere in England. I think everyone has someone in their year who skinned themselves on sanders! I remember going to use a vertical sander one day and finding it had a large red mark, was quite freaked out to say the least!

Oh and I one had a nail go straight through my foot, and walked like half a mile home in pain. That's pretty much my most hardcore moment :p
