I moved to SD 4-5 months ago and within the first month there was a teenage drunk driver who was 18 and took some girl along and they were speeding down the freeway at 80 miles per hour when he decided to show off and the car skidded off the road, into a ditch, throwing them out of the window and seeing that girl lie there on the freeway all blue..it changes your mind about drunk drivers. One sip is not okay. Better to just not take that risk no matter what.

What seems more likely to you: this guy took one sip of beer, just happened to get pulled over by the police, who just happened to think it would be appropriate to test his BAC for apparently no fucking reason at all - or - he had too much to drink, was driving like douchebag, got pulled over and had his license taken for being a dumbass. I live in the same city as him, i know how the Police are. Sure, they could have pulled him for driving like a douche, or, the most likely cause would be, that he got stuck at a Booze Bus. For those unfamiliar with this, the Police set up in the middle of a major road and EVERYONE who goes through has to be given an alcohol test. Seeing as this happened on Friday/Saturday which are the only 2 days they do set up booze busses, that is where my money lies.

Yes, i MAY be assuming the best, but you are a hypocrite for assuming the worse.

Oh and BTW, yes, they DO pull people over for no reason. And when they do, yes they DO ask for an alcohol test. It IS completely random, i have been pulled over this way at least 3 times on my way back from work.

Fine he wasn't underage. Remove the underage, and what is left is drunk driving kills. Even if they pulled him over just out of the blue, they have a reason for taking away his license. His achohol level was higher then the legal amount. And the legal amount is there for a REASON. Maybe perhaps drunk driving is far worse in Aussieland. All the more reason to stop saying its ok for TEENS to take a 'sip' and drive.

Gauging by his age, he was less than a year away from his full license. He will STILL be a teenager at that point, however, he will then be allowed legally to drink 1 whole glass before he is over the limit. My point, is why make such a big fuss about 1 sip when he will soon be able to drink alot more legally?

If you think that the 1 sip is going to "affect his driving", then what about the 1 whole glass? You think that will somehow affect him LESS? He will still be a teen, what difference will that less than 1 year make to the way his body handles alcohol?

I am NOT defending him, i am NOT saying that he is not in the wrong. I am pointing out that your reasons for bagging him are hypocritical, and are based on NOTHING.

... The mere fact that these two comments exist prove that my posts were not read.

I would also like to bet that those idiots making these comments, are underage and hence do not know anything about alcohol. If you were any older, you would know that "a sip" of alcohol is not going to do anything more than sniffing it will, unless you are talking about pure spirits, which we are NOT.

Also, stop saying that "a sip" is going to impair your judgment, because as i have said and re-said many many many many many many many many many times, the legal limit for a full license is 1 full glass. If 1 sip is dangerous, why would they allow 1 glass?

P.s.- Alcohol is legal, meth isn't. I would love to type out an entire page of ways in which the two differ, but I'm not going to waste my time. Idiot.

I'm not underage, As I'm 23 years old, I will not drive even if i've had 1 drink, And thats the way I believe it should be..

I honestly couldnt care what You think Rishwin, Sipping it and sniffing it is COMPLETELY different.

You say that 1 glass is legal, But I personally think no drink should be legal, Thats my opinion, Im sticking by it.

You don't know the story.. I was driving normally.. In a suburban area around 12am? No people were on the streets it was a quite neighbour hood.. a turn before my mates street (after driving around the block 2min drive) there were police.. I was speeding they went pull me over and they done me for drinking driving.. I know what I did was wrong.. But don't ever call me a cunt again :).
