Even the commentators said fduring the game against sweden, Rooney has the talents and passion to become the best player in the world.
I don't think it's right that they concentrate on one player when there is equally many other decent players in the England. All he does is help out has boost performance on whole. It would just be the same if the likes of Beckham or Gerrand etc ended up out.
He's good, without him it's a great loss.

We have other good players, but if they play in the wrong position (Beckham get the **** to right wing) they don't do anything.
Gerrard's good but he's not allowed enough free roam.
Lampard's good but he's not hitting the target.
Ashley Cole is good, that goal was flukey though.
But Rooney brings both the crowd and team to life. He's like a mascot as much as a player.
