Both fail in my opinion. And Silent Hill was just boring as hell. Didn't even freak me out like the games did. Doom? Are you kidding me. I feel sorry for the Rock because he accepted that role.
I thought there was only one FF movie, which was Spirits Within yer. Never heard or seen the Advent Children one, but now I know that I won't watch it for sure :P

Ah and also, same goes for the other way round, making games from movies. As an example, LOTR, Spiderman weren't good games imo.
I think movies of games can do fine, but games of movies generally suck, especially if you have seen the movie. A game is meant to have some free will and let you paly it in your own style, but if it is based on a movie then it would have to stick to a preset course with a preset character.
But on topic - I want a Legend of Zelda movie!!!
Sounds good, can't wait to see it - big Zelda fan here, just about own every one in the collection.
