What makes more really sad is that all that nuclear power could be powering fields and houses in many many places where people have nothing but water when lucky. Governments not caring about things that happen outside their borders is worse than the destruction of a bomb. Bombs drop, people die, countries get repaired by those that bombed them. People living every single day without any goal or meaning of purpose for themselves is the real and true unstoppable destruction.
I think that it is pretty clear North Korea wants international recognition by world powers. One way to achieve that is through a nuclear weapon, because as a confirmed nuclear power, you are highly respected (just look at pakistan). North Korea wants the attention, and power..however I doubt that they will be launching any kind of missle or nuclear warhead at anyone. They know they will get back 1000x what little damage they do.
The UN basically has no power in the world. It is a form of "collective security". Collective security simply will not work when hundreds of different parties are more interested in their own well being, rather then "donating" resources to the UN. I would not be surprised to see the decline of the UN bureaucracy in the next 20 years.Quote:
