My parents left to go to Bali, they went from Perth>Darwin then from darwin to bali, but when there plane took off from darwin the engine caught fire!!
Luckily they got back to he airport safely, or the whole plane would have exploded :(.

they only shutoff the engine when they are at 40-50% of the journey.
rishwin u retard i didnt say they should of kept going i was just saying something that i heard so if they where almost ate the destination and one of the engines happens to fail or catch on fire they could shut it down.

he said it happened just as they took off, so that removes your "so if they where almost at the destination" arguement.
you said that they should have shutdown the engine cos they dont need it to get from one place to another, so obviously you meant for them to keep going. if not, why did you mention it then? ofcourse they are going to shut the engine down, then just leave it there on flames?

They had to turn back, and luckily noone was hurt.
Unlucky, and from other side they are lucky too. Least they were safe.

Its good to your parent for being so lucky. And if the plane is big. It should have 4 engines. And normally the big plane just need 2 engines to fly. So its still not very dangerous to fly . But i think if i am captain. I will turn around and repait it. Good luck to you josh!

Thanks guys, i was like WTF? But true they CAN fly with 2 engines but with one on fire? Lol. And when they got back there were lots of fire engines :D

and a plane can fly normally without 1 engine (but it is not secure), still if its on fire thats really dangerous.

Luckily your parents didn';t get Hurt, otherwise i would of had to Jump into my Superman Clothing, and hold the Plane up with my smallest finger.
