Re: [pics] My 6 month gym progress

    Mine atm;

    Monday -- Chest , Calf
    Tuesday -- Shoulders , Abs , Obliques
    Wednsday -- Triceps , Biceps
    Thursday -- Off
    Friday -- Back
Saturday -- Legs (minus calf) Abs , Obliques
    Sunday -- Off

That's what I am doing atm , reason being was I'm in the gym 2 hours a day and because of the amount of weight and sets required I found I wasn't able to maximize my recovery so I've tweaked it to suit my body.

I wouldn't advise my routine unless you have trained a while.

    That's the scheme I'm using. 40-1hour per work-out, 3 times a week.

How well does the StrongLifts 5x5 actually work?

Also, what would you recommend to take prior to working out or during my daily meals?

    Currently I have

    Multi-Vitamins and Salmon Oil.

My friend recommended I also take BCAA with glutamine and creatine with no exploe

Wow, this thread really is inspirational. It really makes me want to start working out again, and go beyond that.

Stronglifts world really good so far. You keep adding weights every work-out till you squat 150% of your body weight, then it's time to move to a more complex scheme.

You could try using creatine but it's not gurantee that it will work for you. I used it for a month and didn't notice much diffrent at all.
For No-explode, make sure your stomach is as empty it can be when your using it.

You don't get taller by working out. Lols.

He may still be growing in height but that is not duo to the gym workouts.

Are their some equipments inside the gym which you could suggest to gain height? I mean this is my problem I'm kinda short and I'm working out and my mom told me to stop working out cause I won't gain height or the growth of my bone stops. lol that's what she said.

What I wanna do inside the GYM is first to build up chest and less lifting and then abs training. but dunno how to atleast gain height.

Stretching Exercises: These exercises will help you improve your posture. You’ll be surprised that how much of “Height” is hidden behind your slouched back.

That's all I can think off.

there is no way that one can increase their height. Your height is determined by your genetics.

weight lifting stunting growth is an old wives tale which has been disproven over and over by many clinical studies.

I like. Good progress. Very good improvement, like a totally different new person. Did you stick to free weights?(if you answered this before I'm too lazy to read 5 pages of posts)

mostly, yeah. I think arm day is the only time I do isolation exercises.

I do heaps of olympic exercises for whatever muscle groups I can, machines and iso only where absolutely needed.

Re: [pics] My 6 month gym progress

I'll try to max out the muscle when starting with a free weight then finish the group with a machine then a lower weight isolation free for total fatigue, but that's me. The machines are handy when you want to throw up more weight that your body cannot hold naturally.

Biggest mistake I made for a long time was using machines over free weight. I'll give you an example; I used to be afraid of benching due to lack of spotter so I would use the machine, I could bench over 140kg with a machine but struggled with benching 80kg and the reason was because my muscles where not used to holding the weight naturally , soon as I switched over in a few months time my bench caught up really close to my machine weights and shape will thicken out better too.

    free weight > machine.
