Want to know why? It's just an overpriced thing that is inferior to the x360.
Is it fast? Sure it is. Very fast game play without lag.
Now isn't that a good thing? Not at all?
Why isn't it a good thing? Well they are using and under clocked nVidia 7900 GPU for the computer. Sure that GPU is fast but it can't handle FSAA (removes jaggered edges) while rendering HDR (very nice lighting effects). Where as the x360 uses an ATi R500. Which on it's own is faster then the x1900/1950. Which that GPU can handle FSAA with HDR (which does slow things down). So how does the PS3 handles this hurdle? Simple. The PS3 doesn't support FSAA which is such a big let down. As for me. FSAA is more important then HDR. As it's a better visual experience then HDR. So sure it's fast. Only reason it's fast is because of the fact it's doesn't use FSAA.
What else is wrong with it? It's loud. And I mean loud. I thought the x360 was loud but the PS3 is two to three times louder. Which is really annoying as it will drown out the game when you don't have the volume loud.
Wow is there anything else wrong? The OS isn't nicely layed out. Looks nice but the stuff isn't nicely layed out. Nothing compared to how nice and easy layed out the x360 OS is done.
Isn't there anything good about it? The controller is nice. It's a PS2 controller a tad bit wider and the feel is a little nicer. Not as nice as the x360 though in my opion. Also the L2 and R2 button are replaced with small triggers. Which is a nice addition and I just love. BUT there is a slight problem with the controller. The vibration has been removed. Which is a big downer though. Also the larger HDD is a great thing and the look of the system is just sick. Looks so much better then the x360 or Wii.

Well it's Xbox 360 for me! NoPeace wasn't exagerating on how loud it is either. I have 3 120mm fans and 2 80mm fans on my computer and it's louder than my computer. Enough said.
Save your money. Buy an Xbox 360. I'll play MGS4 at a friend's house...or rent the console for a week from Blockbuster or something.
Wow, thanks NoPeace for that info. Probably gonna get a 360 now. Friend is getting a ps3 for christmas, so can just go over there and play it if I ever want to. Also don't like the fact that you can't share games on the ps3. Thats a real bitch.
Why can't you share games on the PS3? It's just a false rumor that the games are locked to the console. If that's the case it'll hurt many companies like Blockbuster and GameStop. Who are all about the ablity to reuse old games eiteher by renting or selling.Quote:

now theres people waiting for the wii and some people who were waiting on the ps3 stayed for the wii as well on woman and her son daughter and husband each bought a ps3 for resell and there still waiting on the wii for resell
