    Nice banner, but damn 57kb, and that in GIF format, trust me if you do it right in PNG then it's wayyyyyyyyyy smaller and looks wayyyyyyyyyyyy better.

    That image saved as a jpg at quality 40 i think it was.... Those sorts of images are best to save as jpg's coz of how the data is stored. A gif Loves to save colours in streight lines and of one type. Hence if theres lots of blank colour thats all the same then it would be best to use a gif. Otherwise if the image in complex then it would be better to save it as a jpg. As for PNG's..... Well i tend to stay away from them. Kind of a rule in our company not to use em lol.... mostly narrow minded principle really but hey :P

    No.... there is a reason why we dont use them much. Mostly is compatability as far as i know. Will have a more detailed explanation 2morow nite tho :)

    The file sizes of PNG's dont really cut it compaired to jpg's n gif's. Unless you find an image that works just right with it :s

    Personally i like stuff like logo's on it's highest quality, so PNG gives better quality then jpg is possible, and it's smaller, not a bad deal imo.
