im in australia, and the laws are quite different lol...hearing of a cop with an m16 in his trunk is quite shocking really...so many issues in this debate i cant really participate cos i have little knowledge of the structure of USA's legal system.

Help them? That's like saying you'd want to help someone for being mexican, or for being Jewish, or for being a man. And even IF they are choosing, what gives you the right to tell them they are wrong? It's their life/their body/their mind... You start taking away that freedom what's next? Why are you automatically right in this??

Oh and blame the media for making it go into the lime light.. It's not like this has just started up out of nowhere, but w/Madonna frenching Britney Spears on MTV, girls parading around together half naked on virtually every magazine, and of course pornography abundantly showing such things, what do you expect will happen? Life gets effected through this and makes people feel stronger to show their "gay" ways... More and more people are becoming more unafraid to tell the world their gay thanks to this and people are starting to actually take notice... And thus fearing change, which really, nothing has changed but the way gay people are feeling about themselves and feeling about their rights (or what they want to be their rights).

I don't want to change your views or anyones views, and I'm not saying your wrong or that I'm right cuz tbh I believe everyone has the right to choose what they want.. and as I said earlier in the end it's up to the respective states/countires to decide, and that's the way it should be anyway.

Which brings me to my next point, it's caused by the enviroment. What i was getting to when i said that allowing gay people to marry would just casue more gays, is the point i'm gonna elaborate on.

As humans, we're curious, we like to try new things, and this one person said, i'm gonna have sex with a man, and he liked it, and he became a homesexual. Then he told his friend, who was like "what the fuck" and then a few years later, he tried it, liked it etc. This little microcosm i created is only an interpretation of what happened. It all started with curiosity, and because as a society we grew to accept it, people are more willing to try it. Eventually, we will accept it, it's inevitable, HOWEVER, through being gay, you don't get a chance to pass your genes on and your views of the world. Through having a child, you have someone to teach, to look after, that will eventually grow up and would be a part of you, because the child as he stands, is just a cumulative knoledge of you and your partner's views. Now, i'm sayin if gay people adopt, it would break the cycle, of course they won't pass on their genes, but they will be able to pass on their views, and i do agree that some might not be bad, but i don't like the fact that those children will most likely grow up to be gays. As a child, you look to your parents as role models, especially in the first few months of your life, you mimic what they do, and your brain stores information of what happens, and later in life, you will become like one of your parents as Froid once suggested. Froid also suggested that all people tend to look for the qualities their parent of the opposite gender had in their partners, which still stands, most guys fall for a woman that's a bit like their mother and girls fall for guys that are a bit like their dad. I won't go into detail with what Froid said. Now, seeing as the child only has 1 gender parents, confusion will emerge, especially if the child was adopted at a young age, he will think that is the normal, and when he see's his friends familys, he will be confused. A different view on society will emerge from this, that's why i disagree with it.

Gay people are a cause of enviromental defects, which can be fixed, a gay person can see a hypnotist for a "cure" to bein gay.

Cannabis laws -

Who are you to say that someone isn't allowed to smoke it if he wants, alcohol is legal, it's worse than weed. 250 thousand people DIE a year in the UK alone because of it, yet there have been 0 recorded deaths of cannabis. Sure it might cause skitzophrenia and other things, but if a person is willing to take the risk, let him, it's like gambling, you win some you loose some but it's fun at the end of the day, except maybe for the people that go over the top. As someone earlyer in the thread said, it should be sold at the chemist, because if it was sold at the chemist, there would be no problem with the dealer trying to PUSH harder drugs on to you, and because of that, cannabis would loose it's reputation for being a gateway drug. Why do you mind so much that some stranger who doesn't even know you is smokin it? how does that affect you? I personally enjoy the drug, and i find it better than alcohol, which in my opinion is crap, it makes you piss too much , damages kidneys, damages liver, heart, makes your belly store fat, clogs up arteries etc. Let people do what they want, can't you see it's only causing drug barons to become richer the more you fight it? If it was all sold at chemist, there would be no people sellin it on the streets, there would be a CONTROLLED ammount of these substances being made, and less of a chance of someone dieing because of a bad mixture.

Gun laws -

Hmm, you see, the point that was made in a general studies class was that through allowing cops to have guns, the criminals would be more likely to have guns to defend themselves from the police. I brought up the point with holland, and how their cops go like "stop or i'll shoot" and 3 seconds later they shoot you in the knee. If that applied in most other countries, there would be a DRASTIC cut in crime, yet some people just disagree with hurting the criminals. eg. criminal broke in this guy's house, burgled him, on the way out tripped over a cable, and he SUED the people he was burgling for havin an unsafe house, guess what, he won the court case, and got some ridiculous sum of money from these people O.O The point i'm trying to make, is that it would act as a deterrant if the police had guns and were willing to use them. Also in class, my teacher said cops would not be reliable to carry guns, because they'd shoot people, and i said, well if they were trained better, they wouldn't and she got really pissed off with me saying, we know how to train our cops blah blah blah, I'm foreign so i think she had a fit with my being anti-britanic etc.

Ok that's the biggest load of crap i ever heard, it's not a sex thing, it's attraction, people are born with that attraction.

To put it simple, they grow up getting a hard one of a sweaty half naked man, and don't have anything going when they see a good looking girl in a skirt bend over, and that has nothing to do with choice, and they have this before they go experimenting or whatever.

Tell you what, interpret what i said some more, that's just a microcosm. The point i was gettin to, is that society as it stands allows people to do things out of the norm, due to our views on "freedom of choice" etc blah blah.

The thing is, the child probably had more of a role model in their dad, or found men or women (if lesbo) to be the more reliable gender. It's all in the growing up process, before you even hit puberty, what friends you had and which one you found more safe to be around with. Believe it or not, we have not evolved with "gay" genes in our systems, we have a choice in what to be, but the choice isn't ours, it's our society's. Your willing to accept gays for the simple reason that you don't see anything wrong with it. BUT even simple theorys disagree with it, gay people should have died to to extinction yet they still survive, why? Why is it that something that isn't natural (natural meaning the way the world works, hetrosexuality) survive longer than it's time? Why is it that the psychology of some people must go back? this only points to the fact that the world has turned around, and survival of the fittest doesn't apply anymore, it's all down to money, it's all down to knowing the right people. I've seen people that are very smart, yet very poor and their brains are withered away... oh wait, hold on, let me focus on gay people. Right, well, as it stands for me, society has created ways of dealing with our problems, that cost the rest of us money, the evil way to deal with everything that's bad is to kill em, to emulate the real nature of things. Disabled people, gay people, incurable disease people, however, diseases that can be cured should be, that's why were here, but with the disabled people, they're not a workforce, and they take so many compensations from the government! for what, cuz they were born without a leg? cuz they tripped fell and broke their neck? no offence, but if they wanna take the money from the government they can just fuck right off, there's better things the money can be spent on , and the government already's got problems with money management.

Conclusion on gays

- Caused due to society
- caused due to growing up differently
- NOT caused by genes
- Not normal
- Can be classed as disease hence it must have a cure

Right... don't you think that when they tryed to figure out what causes people to become gay they looked at what kind of parents they had, what kind of role model, sports etc etc etc. They found no connection.

Btw did you know that with identical twins that if 1 is gay, that the chance is much bigger that the other twin is also gay then by non identical twins.
I wonder how you are going to explain that if it's just by choice and all?

That's how and why things evolve and how and why you get groups of people with similarities that hang around each other, like skaters, townies, goths etc, they all belong in their group, gay people belong in theirs, however as i see it, their group is less fit to walk the earth because of their defects.

You truely don't understand how the mind works now do you? Gay people don't even know why they are gay, they just are.

As for the scientist part, that's just bull, if not then show me the evidence, if it was really that much of a fact then such big news shouldn't be hard to find.

Anyway there are lots of gay people who had the same lifes as you, me, and pretty much every other person, in the end it's about attraction, what you are describing is what kind of person they like more, but attraction has nothing to do with it, you could truely hate a certain woman who you find incredibely sex, she could murder your whole family, and you would still be attracted in a certain way, and even when you are disgusted by your thoughts, it's still there, it's just not something we have under control.

Now i would never be attracted to a guy, never, now that doesn't mean that i don't know how an attractive man looks like, however i would never be attracted to one, not because i think it's wrong, or because i shouldn't or whatever, but simply because i'm not, it's in instinct.

Here is another one, why is 1 child shy and the other isn't, is it because they have such a different life? Gay ( Happy ) Marriage - I agree on lesbian marriage ( but its just me ) , about a kid having 2 mans being their father/mother and having problems at school thats because of their own education ( the education of kids that have mon and dad )

Those are pretty much the ones which i think it should be allowed, although the having to many childeren is something that you should explain further, because if people just keep fucking and cant be bothered to use protection then to bad for them.

However being to young is a problem, if you are 16 you cant have a baby without sacrificing many other things, even with just adoption, raped is just awfull, they would have to walk around 9 months with something that reminds her of it, and then she might even really hurt the child because of the father (this really does happen alot), and with bad economics i can also understand it.

The world isn't as black as white as many of you think, it's all grey really.

Gohan so while top psychologists and whoever don't even know for sure you talked to a gay guy read a book and watched a show and somehow figured it out?

They don't know exactly why a person is gay, but they don't have a pattern in how they grew up, normally with things they can see in their childhood why a person became like that, but with gay people they haven't got a clue, so it has to be something that just came with their birth.
