Probably in the "Pop" music industry and hip-hop industries. But some new Metal bands have some great talent...for example: Lacuna Coil has one of the best female singers in the Heavy Metal genre. Also, bands like Iced Earth and Opeth are fuckin boiling with talent but they aren't noticed because the general population listens to that rap shit and homo emo music.
There are plenty of people who can sing...but trying playing an instrument for once. Without a band, a singer is worthless. It takes real talent to play a guitar or drum like some of the people in the Metal genre do.
Agreed with Iron_Maiden, I dont think its all music being hit by that decline, the popular wave destrois everything in its way but it hasnt reached some styles yet.
I blame tv for a lot of this problem.

But i'm more of an electronic music fan.
So i'm quite pleased that this music isnt gettin whored and played over and over on TV.
You get a very good feeling while dancing to a set by some DJ in the middle of Eilat desert.
Cause you know that he didnt came for the money nor the fame but for us the people who enjoy this music.
And i feel that todays pop artists are just doing their music for money and not for the passion of making it.

Yes, ppl do redicilous debate posts to get alot of posts, more ppl that comment = more posts. wich kinda sucks. There aint alot of debates worth reading atm.
meh i just made a few to give the section a kick-start. i know it may have been discussed a while ago and that its not an especially exciting topic, but just didn't the same thing as the blog section happening :P
hmm it has been a dry period for origional debates around here but I think when things happen new opinions will arise and we'll have all the origionality in the world...almost.
