Question about Americans
From the previous travels I made from America, I'm really so out of my comfort zone whenever I'm there and it was really so awkward. That's why I need help with how I should be interacting with the people in different states in America and also Canada though or just generally how I should be acting.
And also I need help with these bunch of uneasiness which I'm confuse. like
This is base from my experience in my visit in New York, but people are so rude and very aggressive. And what was worst is, when I arrived in a New York bus terminal, me and my family were accompanied by black dudes who just lifted our bags without our permission and after telling them a bunch of times we didn't need help from the very start. at the end of some random shop they dropped our bags and was mad and was asking for 80 bucks.
Why do people accepts the fact that Canadian are kind people? I was also able to visit Canada and it seems like people were normal.
Why is there like a routine in fast food chains such as Mcdonalds for customers to throw their own finished meals in the trash bins?
How judgemental or awkward are the people who lives in any state of America to people who are not that fluent in English?
What are considered to be a good job in America?

Re: Question about Americans
You just visited the wrong place. In New York life pace is too fast for someone to care about how you feel however I had a completely different experience when I visited different states, People were so nice and kind and all they do is smile even if they don't know you and this is probably one of the main reasons I chose America for my higher education over Europe.

Re: Question about Americans
If you're visiting America from outside the states. I suggest you find a non-populated place to go. It will literally ruin your entire outlook on the whole country. Coastal places like New York, Florida and California are more or less all like that. The entire city is extremely fast paces, so no one gives two shits on what you really want or need. They have other things to get done. Go more in-land. The people get nicer the further you go in. There are no good jobs in America, it's only what you feel interesting enough to not wanna kill yourself after 8 hours.
If you don't know much english. Then like all places. People will look at you stupid. Either find a translator, or just do your best to let people know what you want to say.

Re: Question about Americans
Knowing the singular/plural/tenses of the verbs and knowing when to use them would really help, too. Hue

Re: Question about Americans
@Supicioso I agree,
The same concept applies to Canada.. you should probably visit places that are not crowded and relaxed.
My advice to the author is.. go to Vancouver, BC, Canada - or the mainland of vancouver... you will enjoy it there :D

Re: Question about Americans
You can't possibly expect people in one of the largest tourist cities in the US, possibly the world, to be nice to what they see as a tourist, can you?

Re: Question about Americans
Depends on what state/city you visit. Places like New York, Detroit, Miami, Los Angeles Etc. aren't the best places to go in terms of the community. Places like these are populated with obnoxious, rude, annoying, homeless drug addicts who will steal your shoelaces if you leave them unattended. I suggest you do a little research on any place(s) you plan to visit before you go there. America has some beautiful and welcoming places to visit but it also has some very nasty unwelcoming places to visit, New York unfortunately is more of the latter than the former.
