Dutch...
when i was in amsterdam, there seemed to be alot of turkish/moroccan crack heads on street, doing there usual of trying to sell you the old "charlie, crack cocaine" making strange whistle sounds to you, it was quite funny. but we was ok, there was 8 of us most of us 6 ft + so we didnt look like the kind of people to mess with :P (although most people seemed like giants compared to my 6 ft 1 status)
and one thing you have to watch out for, are the crack heads that try to bump into you on the narrow paths in the red light district.. tried to do it to me and pretend he lost his crack hit from his pipe, like i gave a shit, i just laughed at his face..
but yea in whole honesty it wasnt that bad over there. just damn expensive!
Netherlands is alright :), pretty flat and few nature :(, but the country is small, bit too many ppl and has almost no actual problem. I'll probably move to scotland when I'm old enough :D, although it rains there ever more ^^ (good for the garden! lol)
I think the best place is near Maastricht (or in Limburg). Maastricht has a low crime rate I believe. The city is awesome if you want to go out (except on Saturday, dont go out on Saturday -_-). The area around Maastricht isn't as boring as the rest of Holland (most of Holland = flat = boring). If you need to go somewhere, you're both near Belgium and Germany. There's an airport there I believe and if no good flights go there you can go to Eindhoven airport which isn't a very long drive.
It ain't a crime when it's legal. ;)
Anyway i'd have to say don't bother, i really don't see any point moving here from the UK, as for crime, yes there is crime, but i think it's not really bad, you have to understand there are different crimes, when people talk about a criminal here then it's likely a thief, if you talk about a criminal in the US then you are thinking about a murderer. ;)
Seriously though, crime is pretty low here, and very few people die from them, so it's quite safe.
But i'm still sticking with don't bother, if you want to make a change in your life, then just move to a different kind of place within the UK, shouldn't be hard to find.
"Ten Boer" near Groningen is the safest place according to 'Panorama', a dutch magazine. lol
And yeah, crime rate is here low too.
Im just back from scotland, and the differences I found was that scotland just has less inhabitants per square km/mile, less highway and the cities are bit dirty lol......
If you want a very boring life and make sure there isn't a lot of crime you should move to the north-western provinces such as Drenthe or Gelderland. If you can find a small town there you can almost be sure that nothing will happen in your life.
However if you don't mind living then perhaps one of the bigger cities would be better to live in.
Come to Belgium, no high crimerate, just watch out with the parking tickets.
Well, never been there - but my Heart, Google and A IRL Friend say it's an amazing place to live ... :icon6:
^^, so many replys ty
