It's usually the same group of people that are nominated so... what's the use? Of course others should get more well known, but due to this being the internet they're all butthurt and can't take jokes of certain comments so they don't bother. So.. if the awards are usually nominated for the same group of people what's the use? There should be something to unite all the members so we're all actively doing stuff together; therefore, more newer people could be nominated instead of the usual group, just my $0.02

Yer 2 cents is appreciated mate, and it's a very valid point. There would be more point to the awards if people crawled out from their dev sections, which is one reason for the awards - encourage folk out. But we both agree with Rishwin, so it's a bit of a catch 22 situation!
