Re: Ragezone Server Moving
Dear Deltaanime, care for other communities also. That's all. Put some work on acutally answering tickets that are already over 2 months old. Also reply on the god dam mails instead of just blaiming shit on MySQL errors. You got to maintain a good quality of Customer Support or bad reputation will magically appear, trust me.

Hey there,
I don't actually check my francisco@ email so if someones needing to talk to me I always recommend MSN.
There's no tickets pending that far back, at most a few days right now due to migrations.
Thanks!
Francisco
Re: Ragezone Server Moving
As much as I understand some people here might be having problems you must note that Fran is here on his own will to answer questions and that this thread is mainly to do with updates on ragezone. As above if you need to speak with Fran you can contact him via msn at his address mentioned. Just don't get this turned into a Q/A.
Re: Ragezone Server Moving
Nice ill be looking forward to this, can not wait, but sucks with the downtime, but, w.e better performance...
Re: Ragezone Server Moving
I think ragezone has gone twice as slow comparing it to before the server was upgraded. Even tho the over-load error is more rare now still it loads much more slower

They are sponsoring RZ, not your dad.
Re: Ragezone Server Moving
Sorry for the 1 week bump but, are you using an opcode (apc,xCache) cache along with a datacache (memcached)? That saves time compiling php as it can usually be accessed from memory. You should also consider using nginx along with PHP-FPM (its going to be merged into the main php branch soon was ment to happen in 5.3.2 but was delayed).

Off Topic;
I've heard ALOT of complains this last weeks about Frantech support. For example my friend Flav, ordered a VPS which toke 5 days and when he finally got it (Fully working) he noticed he had got win 2003 but he ordered 2008. He have now been wating over a week to get this changed, he've tried to contact you over msn and Support tickets.
I hihgly suggest you to get more Support staff right away. 99% of all pepole i know, loves Frantech all over expect the Support. So work on that, and you might become even bigger! :)
Kindly regards,
Charlie
Yep. That was *exactly* the problem I had. I had 5 support tickets open for over two months, and they *never* ever sorted the problem. So I cancelled my services, but they don't seem to have noticed... xD
Also, they switched off my VPS whilst I was backing it up, and I lost the entire whole of Hablake Hotel, which was around 250+ hours of work. Ah well.
Re: Ragezone Server Moving
I'm sure this a reason for the missed tickets, maybe Fran should hire someone to assist :P

Hmm... perhaps a few people. It'll take them a while to clear the backlog I think. xD

Welcome to Frantech.
We're still working on our new website so please check back sometime soon.
If you wish to place an order or talk to our support/sales department, please do so at

Hasn't that been there for over a year? Must be a big site... ;D

Hey there,
One thing at a time :) We had 3 large complaints about our service so we've taken care of 2 of them so far, so the next is support. We know things aren't perfect, but we're working to make it a lot better.
- VPS's are far more stable (no crashes to date since the move over and it'll stay this way)
- The network is far faster and more stable
- Support is being worked on.
We've since then hired an additional 2 - 3 support people that work quite a few hours during the day on everyones work (at minimum each person is working 8 hours a day).
We know we're not perfect, but it's been a very very very large upgrade from what it was just months ago :)
With that being said, the reason RZ was down earlier this week wasn't a fault of our own, but rather a fairly large scale SYN flood aimed at it. We cleaned it as best we could and finally were able to return the site back to normal. The flood topped 60k pps of pure SYN, but we were able to still return the site to normal with that.
Thanks for your concerns,
Francisco
Re: Ragezone Server Moving
Come on, give Fran a break, it's hard running a business on your own.

Might I suggest some hardware to deal with flood detection? Syn floods are easily detected by almost everything :\
