Presuming that this market is almost about competition, creating a server which out-step the rest will destroy the competition, and possibly can lead the market down to closure. Thereafter forum hits will go down.

hey!, i play on RageCraft, i L-O-V-E this server. and it has that 50-100 players online. and that's one of the reasons i love it. because there are not much jerks and ppl know eachother. i've played in the server over a year and i've grown into it. the server is like home, always good to log in, and can't/won't leave it even on bad/hard times.
plus there are hundreds of private servers out there, so it's hard to make enormous server. plus i see at least once in a week some jerk advertising his server on our server thread or asking help to create own server (while not knowing even the basics of the game).... -.-
Never played RAN in my life but from the screenshots posted in the new section, to me it looked crap and unrealistic, to me it looked like MU characters crossed with cartoony cars, I doubt I'll be playing it any time soon - none the less I hope it succeeds.
RAN looks like rubish created by some japanese farmers (people who play 25/8)

MU characters crossed with cartoony carsAh.. so you're talking about this pic, right? cars are for the map's appearance, and as you can see, that is 'shibuya' map, if you don't know shibuya, it's a place in tokyo where there's lots of rushhy people and cars scattered all over the place.
About the cartoony, yes i know, ran really don't have that map in official, it is only an additional or extra for fun.
Not all maps have that shitty cartoony cars.
Better if give it a try, just to know how the game system works. =)
We've tested the server few days ago. It's totally different and a bit unique that is why lots of dedication and time for work are needed. never played it and i can't say if that game is such bad...maybe the graphic is horrible, but it could be, that the gameplay is unique....who knows..
The graphics are good, it's only that map that sucks, and you're all looking and basing the game w/ that map that's why.
why do people always complain when people work hard for free so others can have fun?
when i played mir we had like 20-50 people online at the very most! It was some of the most fun ive ever had gaming
