It's worth more then the first number, it's worth less then the second number.

It's hard to put a price on this place, mostly because it's aimed at sharing (illegal) server files, advertising on this site is hard since the main interest here are MMORPG's, and none of those want to advertise on a site where they share server files.
So whereas normally a site can be worth a lot because of all the visitors it gets, and thus nice advertising deals, RZ is limited that way and it's hard to see how much it is worth then.

Btw remember that the first number is dollars, i mean that's like 50 quid, MentaL spends more on his breakfast...

Illegally, it's worth LOADS. I mean how much did it cost for blizz to create WoW? Or NCsoft to make L2? Or a bunch of retards to make Habbo? I'd say it's worth tens of millions for that content.

Legally (ie if you were going to sell it) it's worth a lot less. As Gohan said, our targeted user base are interested in illegal activity so no proper game companies would want to advertise to them anyway. A site is only worth what people are willing to pay, and frankly I doubt anyone would be willing to buy RZ short of buying it to destroy it. I wouldn't be suprised if mental has been offered money to close RZ down really, if my game was being mass distributed here it's what I would do.

The easiest way to make this site worth a lot is to go legal, basicly remove all server files and stuff, and go for the discussion of games, put up reviews etc etc, it definitely can be done if he wanted too.

These numbers are extremely flawed. First of all the site ain't worth that much, without the "game" the site is pretty worthless, also Habbo itself is worth way more then that. Not due to quality btw, but due to idiots who keep buying crap.

And by the same token, RZ is worth nothing without it's content and user base. If we did change to reviews etc 95%+ of the user base would be gone, after a flaming/spam fest telling us to put it back on.

I seriously think the only way RZ would be worth BIG money is if a games company bought it to destroy the competition for it's game. Even then the servers would no doubt go underground anyway, so why bother in the first place?
