Its not being ignorant, its seeing the bigger picture. As I've already said this forum is accessible by those who are 13+ putting a cap on post count entry isn't going to protect this idea. And just like Gohan said all that will happen during heavy convo is that you'll get certain groups of people siding along with other people just being biast, because alot of people seem to have a problem with being able to speak for themselfs.....
The only way I'll ever see this working if that section was restricted to people of ages 18+.
Additional - I've just realised, this rant section all its going to be is a mixture of topics that are either OuttaWorld material, Debate material or garbage that belongs in Spamzilla.
Could work:
-Only have one post thread, So Rant will be over in one, avoids spam
-Only let 15+ Access it using the Age thingy (Fake ages i know)
-Let people spam, Just delete :)

15+ ? Your kidding right, a section like that should only be men't for mature intellectuals because of the topics that will be discussed there, and your not going to get that with kids that are mid way through pubity...

Thanks to Ins@ne for actually paying attention, but for those who didn't, let me remind you that the flaming of other members was only a suggestion. I did NOT say that would be the sole purpose of the section, in fact, i specifically remember in several posts clearly stating that it was ONLY a suggestion, in an attempt to prevent the confusion which has currently arisen.
As for wanting flaming to be allowed there, maybe if you had read the entire thread, my later posts dismiss this due to its obvious problems, and instead suggested the mods there just be a little lenient towards the rule.
YES, you COULD put it in spam, but as the other thread states, there are many ranting threads which turn out to actually have substance, much more that others threads in Spamzilla. People rant because something has affected them and they need to express how they feel; you truly and honestly want to say to them "your feelings have no substance to be in any 'real' section, it is in fact spam and should be posted there"?
Like i said, if it actually has meaning, then post it in the Outerworld. Or do what most people do, start a Blog.

Rish your completely misunderstanding what me and Gohan are saying. Were not denying the people of ragezone a section where they can freely express themselfs and get whatevers needed off there chest.
Nor are we saying that you want this section just so you can flame others. Were saying regardless of this, that will happen anyway. As I've said previously on more then one occasion this website is accessible to the ages of 13+, heck even those who are 16,17 won't appreciate the purpose of that section. So if kids see a section like that and they come across a thread which is obviously deep there gonna flame and take the piss because there immature lil brats.
Not everybody on this site is a "mature intellectual", so I just see wars starting if some daft cunt starts flaming a thread which the creator takes seriously. As I've mentioned before, if this section doesn't receive some serious entry restriction then its not gonna work.
On a personal note I don't see the point in the section because if a thread with any form of importances is made it should be in the outta world, the outta world section needs more threads anyways because alot of them get moved to spamzilla.
You'd be suprised, the Amount of 15 year olds on Rz is low, and the ones here aren't too gay, But the main point was the age Limit.

Anyways, who cares if you get flamed in the Ranting section, a Rant lasts a couple hours, most a day - Flaming will help make you see why it isn't so important, or it's just a part of the mood - Thats just my opionion though mateys.

That's because RZ is pretty quiet right now, i've seen issues escalate in a matter of days, and when it has, simply removing/altering the section wouldn't be enough to stop it.
We'd need mature and good mods for that section if it does come up and I am sure we can find them on the staff here. :icon6:
