RapidShare WTF!

So up until this month, RapidPro cost 99 Rapids per month.

Then I checked my logs, and see that for October 495 Rapids have been deducted. Is this how RS fucks over their members by just raising the price? I didn't get any notice of this.

1 Rapid = aprox. 0.01€. I have 4061 left which used to be enough for years but now it won't last for 12 months!
I used to spend most of my Rapids on extra bandwith (100GB = 280 rapids) and I hope to god they leave that price alone

I would agree that Rapid Share is shit. Almost all File hosts aren't beneficial, except ******* , it helps you. But I would use ZShare, 2Shared, and MegaPorn... I mean MegaUpload.

Well, still €6/mo+150GB bandwith beats MegaUploads' €10/mo but unlim. bandwith.

Give me some arguments.
I doubt my D/L speed will be any higher since I just physically can not get more than 1.3~2mb/s which I get now... And I don't download over €6(=standard 150GB)+€2.80(=100GB extra traffic I can get, still cheaper than MU)=250GB/month...

I never really saw the difference in download speeds even when people use Premium Accounts. It's just the waiting time that can be avoided.

Download programs make multiple connections, free services don't usually allow this. Also, they limit bandwith.

Rapidshare did just turn into Rapidshit but I'm using Fileserve now which is pretty awesome when combined with Jdownloader. Fairly cheap too

I have premium accounts for:
- Rapidshare
- Fileserv
- Hotfile

I don't prefer one over the other, i have multiple accounts simply because files are sometimes hosted on different sites, and these 3 seem to be the most common. As popular as MegaUpload is, you don't usually find files exclusively hosted on there, they are usually also mirrored on one of the above 3 i listed.
