Try, and sue the company selling the hard drive if it breaks. I bet they never warned you not to stick that damn chicken in it. Or sue the farm if your chicken breaks first.

Put a fish in you're hard drive, christ sake. Be more inventive!
And sprinkle some Paprika on it, it helps the health of the Hard Drive. They don't get their 5-a-day.
Try using ice cubes to cool it down. I'm serious it works very well.
