I will generally use them for people making helpful posts or simply quality posts, or when they make really bad posts, talk shit etc.
Afterall, what use is it to have a reputation points system if people don't use it right.

Partially, it all increases abuse, for example you make a really bad post, i rep you bad, you see i did that and you then rep me bad just because i repped you bad.

We had the rep system going for a bit during the "Longest Thread Ever" age. It didn't really last very long (I think it was like 24 hours or so), everyone was just abusing it and such (but you could see who gave you rep back then). Iunno... I don't think the rep system will last very long. I could be quite wrong though...
Maybe a limit should be made, perhaps like 3 or 5 a day, or something like rep points, like actual points, that you can choose how many to give, and that you get them when you post or something.
Basicly any system that cuts people off from just repping everyone in sight would be good
Yeah... your idea sounds pretty good. If there is no limit, then it would be pretty chaotic. There should be a limit on how many points you can "give" at one time as well, else some people might give someone +/- 500 points...Quote:

well i got a rep power of 35 so i think its a combo of your posts + your total rep that gives you your rep power
