Which is why I was thinking. Perhaps the Reputation bar should be limited to 10 squares, but you need to receive lets say for the sake of argument 30 reputation points to gain 1 square. A stricked system should help keep the balance and give a more realistic outcome to.

There isn't really a way you can set up the rep system to not be abused. If people didn't abuse it, it would be fine.

Personally I'm not sure how it is set up myself. Perhaps it can't be corrupted, or not as bad as it was. I don't know. But as long as you give a person the ability to do something, you insert the ability to corrupt it :p

Well it isn't really doing any harm, and I guess it's up to the user/abuser (w.e you want to call them) and what decisions they make.

I really like the reputation system, also the people going mad giving -reps need to stop.

Rep system had it's ups...but mostly downs...like GohanSSJ already mentioned.
It can turn ugly.
In my opinion, the level system is enough.

As for people fearing noobs, the thing about them is that they have virtually no repping power, so you can have 20 noobs giving you bad feedback while a user like myself can rep with more power and get you back in the green.

The system will be abused, however mods should check out some users (with either very high or low rep) to make sure things go fair.

Hmm i do agree with the above posts, the new level system was satisfying but the reputation system will be abused no matter how people feel about it

Well there is 1 positive thing about it. People care so much about rep that they will make a bigger effort to make quality posts and less idiotic posts.

Negatives won't need to be checked imo, if people feel they really been unfairly then they can just report it to a mod after which they should check it out.

People with high positive should be checked to see if it's been fair, last time people would just "trade" rep.
