Rep system had it's ups...but mostly downs...like GohanSSJ already mentioned.
It can turn ugly.
In my opinion, the level system is enough.

As for people fearing noobs, the thing about them is that they have virtually no repping power, so you can have 20 noobs giving you bad feedback while a user like myself can rep with more power and get you back in the green.

The system will be abused, however mods should check out some users (with either very high or low rep) to make sure things go fair.

Hmm i do agree with the above posts, the new level system was satisfying but the reputation system will be abused no matter how people feel about it

Negatives won't need to be checked imo, if people feel they really been unfairly then they can just report it to a mod after which they should check it out.

People with high positive should be checked to see if it's been fair, last time people would just "trade" rep.

While it might sound cool at first, there is actually a limit to how many boxes you can get. Now again that might sound cool, but once you see more and more people with negative feedback due to complete stupidity, then you will be considered one of them, question is, do you want to be treated like a idiot?
