RIP Mark Matthews

Mark Matthews died on impact from severe neck injuries as his car overturned on the evening of January 29th 2006 - Hope Road, Isle of Wight. We'd known each other just a few months but it's a shame to have lost his life at only 20 years old. The rest of the trials riders on the Island and I are signing a card for his family tonight and send our condolences to them and his friends. His passenger was released from Hospital today with gash wounds to his head and face but is otherwise alright. We're going to lay down some flowers at the scene and the funeral is rumoured to be some time next week.

RIP Mark, you'll be missed.

This sucks. Dying so young and his family must be feeling really bad right now. Just hope he didnt have a family of his own that he left behind.... rip

As far as I'm aware he wasn't an RZ member, it just hurts to lose a friend and I had to tell someone about it. He used to ride trials with me and a few others. It'll be weird without him around.

i lost a friend not too long ago, he was in a car accident too, never good to die so young :(

I once lost a friend who was that age in a motor-crash.. Traffic is bloody dangerous.. Too many good men die from it.. :(
