    Saving my new 360

    Okay,
I got an Xbox 360 for christmas off my mum and dad.

I'm finding it fun - and I wanna keep it that way.
When my old Xbox was in Commission; I used to switch it off using the controller or the main machine power button and then I switched the mains off when It's been off for 10 seconds to avoid any electricity going through without being needed.

I want to know if that will harm or keep my xbox running, my last xbox got RRoD and I was bored for over 8 months and I only had a laptop and a fucking wii.

    Thanks guys,
It'd be appreciated a lot if you help me out here.

    James.

It won't do either - Doing that does nothing except for lower your power bill by about $2 a month.

RROD has nothing to do with power, it is the console overheating due to the older hardwear which was used to make them. The newer 360's do NOT have this problem.
