I just found out today about some JR pass which in simple terms is a travell card for the shinkansen (bullet rains). We thought that it would save us money and shite...but it's stupidly expensive, so now we'll go by coach everywhere.
Oh and just for you anime/manga fans reading this, we are going to the comicette ^_^

it sounds expensive but japan is an expensive country my friend, very expensive
up untill very recently tokyo was the most expensive city in the world, i think it is 2nd now
in tokyo u can pay anywhere from 600 - 800 yen and up for a can of coke, thats like £3 - £4, i can get a can of coke at my local store for like £0.40
when u are actually there ull be able to weigh up wether or not ull need a JR pass or not, depends how much ull be travelling tbh, coaches arnt cheap either :tp:
