    Share your Google+ experience

Who has it, who's using it and what are your thoughts.

This isn't a thread o request invites or bug people about circes, anyone4 caught doing so will get punished according to my levels of crankyness.

OT: Tbh I expected more from google than a site that looks and behaves almost identically to facebook but with slightly more shinyness to it, aren't they meant to be one of the best innovators in the world? if so then thety've seriousley dropped the ball on this one.

I like how the cricles aspect works and the fact that it's going to be app free for a little while so no more fucking farmville adds everywhere but apart from that there doesn't seem to be that much to pull in the masses.

I like the circles feature, haven't tested Hangouts yet.

It seems very plain right now, there is nothing to do on it so its just boring. Maybe once it is publicly released and some changes are made, after all they said they are still working on it. But as it is now I seriously doubt anyone will be using it avidly.

    Re: Google+

Facebook was an unworkable turd when it first came out. I think g+ has potential. The secret is the grey bar. Every time a user visits Google, which is a lot, that grey bar will be there at the top with their notifications. That's a pretty strong play by Google. It will pretty much become a feature of your normal browsing rather than a separate website.

It has potential and I love the fact there are no apps everywhere.

Too bad I can't enable Google+ for my own account.

Agreed, it seems like they threw out the "web 2.0" bullshit with having applets built into a browser by just having certain elements consistent within their pages and seeing as pretty much everyone uses google just to search the web they'll increase their userbase via the subtle advertising of the bar and peoples familiarity with the whole system.

    Agree 100%

As of now I really don't like google+ at all, but it's still in Beta. So we'll see how it finally ends up.

    Quoted for the truth.

It's just Google being Google. They see a bandwaggon and jump on it.

Back before YouTube wasn't part of Google, the saw how people flocked to it and thus they made a knock off of it (does anyone remember Google Video?). Which of course failed and in turn they just ended up buying YouTube.

So basically, they can't buy Facebook so they are going to try to copy them. Though right now it's a piece of crap with nothing special about it. I don't see it ever taking over and killing Facebook like how Facebook took over and killed MySpace.

    NoPeace - out

You people and your silly phone apps.

Why not be like me, get windows mobile - and run any browser, anytime, flash programs.. all the fun stuff - and never have to wait for an "app" to come out? ;)

I really like Google Plus hangout. That alone could probably make it do very well. I've yet to test it out with more then one person.

It won't be a Facebook killer just yet. Google need more time to develop (rip) ideas from other social networks. It's a nice concept, but it needs a lot of work.

Anyone who doesn't like it is expecting facebook from it, which it is not. I myself am followinf about 60, mostly big names on the internet, and I'm much more happy with it than I was on twitter, those people actually uses it as blogs, not only 140 chars long shit abd they even react on comments. At the same time I follow a couple of real life friends and it works as good as if I was friends with them on facebook. It's good, all its need are average facebook users(read most of your friends) and I'll be happy to leave fb for good.

And considering there is currently over 10 millions people on it already and it's growing god famn fast eventhough it's invite only, I believe those AFUs will eventually join as well.

    Re: Google+

I like Google+. I just got invited today, and I could see myself using it instead of Facebook if all my friends were on there. It takes all of Google's resources, Twitter, Facebook, and Omegle (minus the strangers), and mashes all of them together in one place; and I think it's pretty good.
