It snowed here
It was heavily raining here, no snow ):
it rained for like 2 seconds yesterday morning before it started snowing
big snow storm here...knee high, after a week of rain and some sun.
I wish i had snow this year. We did have snow and it fell for like an hour but it never really stuck to the ground, and so was basically useless.
mmmm that sucks, the ice froze over night here (yesterday, not today, today its gone)
so the car doors got stuck :\
HA HA HA!!! This winter is INCREDIBLE!
It's February already, and the maximum time we had snow is, mmm..................1 week? And actually it's pretty incredible, since I live in Eastern-Europe. All winter's, we've been freezing to death.
Yeah... I live in New England... You know what that means? Snow + Ice. To make things worse I live in southern part of New England. So we don't get lots of nice and fluffy snow. Instead we get nasty wet snow and tons of freaking ice.
So I have a clue on winter driving. ;)
As long as you have good tires, weigh down your back wheels, and drive carefully then you have no worry about driving in bad weather.
In all honesty. Driving in a summer shower is much harder. The lack of rain fall causes a lot of oil build up on the roads and then the water sits on top of it. Making it much harder to tell how slick it is.
I've lost control on black ice once and a dozen or so times from wet summer roads.
That's the problem. You can't drive like that in bad weather or you'll just end up off the road if you are lucky.
Not to mention you shouldn't be driving like that. Hard acceleration leads to increased gas consumption. So if you tone down on that you can earn better mileage. Not to mention the hard breaking just wears out your breaks quicker.
I used to drive like that when I first got my car but I can't afford to drive like that anymore. Running my engine hards causes me to only get 8 miles to the gallon compared to the 16 miles to the gallon when I drive like a normal person. Now factor in the cost of gas and the fact my school is 25 miles away. I just cannot afford to drive it hard. :icon6:
NoPeace - out
I uhh.. have been swimmign around in a foot + of snow.. nearly 2 feet up at my house for a while.. its nothign for my truck :-) I just pop it into 4 and drive like I normally do.. except with a grin as I pass by the little city cars slipping up the hill ;)
I havn't seen real snow in like 10 years O_O
Damn this Australia.
We had only once snow here :p
